    Hi Cain, I have just read your excellent report 'Reconnecting' about your early days.

    I started bird watching ( no 'birders' then) aged 9 with Nigel Foggo ( Abbey Meadows blog). 39 years later and I'm still excited to have tomorrow off work to look for migrants!
